| ¡¡¡¡Zhejiang Hangzhou Diamond Resort,
covering a land area of 20,000m2, is elegantly nestled at the foot
of Precious Stone Hill (Baoshi Hill) by the West Lake, only a few
minutes' walk from the Broken Bridge and the Juvenile Palace Square,
and facing the Provincial Government Administration building across
a street. Its construction is related to the municipal government's
resolution of urban reconstruction. In 1993 the municipal government
resolved that the Baoshi region (Plot Nos. 3 and 4) should be reconstructed.
In reply to this resolution, Mrs. Ling Xiaoming went back from Hong
Kong to found a Hangzhou Diamond Estate Co., Ltd. for the purpose
of building up a high-rank residential area integrating business,
leisure, sightseeing and vacationing.
¡¡¡¡2000 saw Diamond Resort and its investor Mrs. Ling win the honor
of "Patriotic Project" and "Chinese Patriotic Star"
respectively. In 2001, the Diamond Resort was given the title "2001
Enterprise Star Founded by Women Entrepreneurs" at the Centurial
Outstanding Entrepreneurs Forum. In March 2002 the Emerald Apartments
won the honor "Famous Brand Founded by International Women
Entrepreneurs".
¡¡¡¡The Company has been "quality-conscious" throughout
the entire process of project development with its original business
idea and persistence, supported by the corporate culture of "honesty,
stability and progress". Aiming to create a new scenic spot
beside the picturesque West Lake, Diamond Co. has spared no effort
in integrating advanced, matured business methodology with domestic
situation and introducing brand new and forward-looking business
ideas. As a result, the Company has decided to make Diamond Resort
Phase II Leisure Villa a "villa group catering to business,
hotel and vacationing" and has invited the world renowned property
management company Hong Kong First Pacific Davis to advice on its
property management.
First class residential environment and perfected business supporting
facility in the Diamond Resort have attracted a large number of
major foreign-funded companies, including the UK-funded BP and the
Finland-funded Nokia, whose senior managerial personnel has moved
into the resort, and many other France- and Japan-funded companies
who are considering moving into the Resort. The Diamond Emerald
Business Apartments will become the first choice of managerial personnel
in Hangzhou-based multinationals. March 26, 2002 saw the founding
of Diamond Resort Club. The Club will adopt the pattern of timeshare
vacation, to allow more people to enjoy the beauty of this heavenly
city, and with an aim to provide a communication platform for municipal
government's objective of making Hangzhou the best place for human
settlements and for entrepreneurs in Hangzhou and Zhejiang to cope
with challenges arising from China's WTO membership.
